92 GT - 302 Heater question

My car came without heat/ac. As far as I know, there is a coolant hose that comes from the waterpump, and the intake, and leads to the heatercore? My hose at the waterpump is blocked off :|, never knew what to do with it. I've heard of people running the heat through the ac core, and having no problems.

Do I need anything else besides, Waterpump to heatercore/Intake to heater core hose?
Tried google-ing .. this, just don't know how to go about wording it :X
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
 
That about sums it up.Water pump out to the heater core, heater core to the intake. And noone here drives a stang during the winter.....so DON'T DO IT MAN...

LOL. Thanks :). I drove mine till dec 1st last year.. Almost wrecked it twice.
I plan on going through early November this year.
