X3! I was explaining the significance of 9/11 to my 7 year old yesterday. It stirred up all those emotions again!

Thanks for making this thread. Yesterday I was watching a show that was providing an account after 15 years - I was a bit surprised how raw I still feel about things when looking back.
I was living in Alaska at the time and was splitting a small house with a roomate. He had a habit of getting up at 4:30AM every morning and turning on the TV which isn't all that unusual as it's a 4 hour time difference between there and EST.
I remember he came in to my room shortly after 5:00 and told me to get up and come out to watch something going on at the WTC. I remember telling him that it must be just a review of the earlier terrorist attempt a few years prior and he told me that was certainly not the case. We both watched the events unfold - the video of the people jumping from the towers is something I will never forget. May they rest in peace.
