ok, been a while since i posted here but as it stands, the only issue with my truck is when i hit around 35-40 mph, it feels like the truck is literally about to shake itself to pieces. one of my buddies told me it might be a busted control arm but id like the MM concensus. thanks for listening

Sounds like death wobble to me. Is the truck 4x4? Jack it up and check everything in the front end. Tie rods, ball joints, track bar bushings if it has one, steering stabilizer of it has one. Even if something is just slightly loose replace it

yeah its a 4x4 , and "death wobble" is how my buddy described it. no need to jack it up tho, im short and skinny so i can crawl under there my damn self lol

2 questions ??? Is It an automatic (aod) ? Is the wobble there under 35 and over 40 ? I had a truck that did that between 40 & 50... It turned out to be In the torque converter. If Its an AOD try shutting the overdrive off and see what happens. I had to drive mine with overdrive off.

you need to jack it up to properly check the suspension components, no matter how skinny you are...

The "death wobble" Always starts at tires. All Advice here is good. Any suspension parts that move, Or show wear replace them. But do your self a huge favor first get the tires road force balanced. Yes its expensive but well worth it.

Death wobble= A harmonic match of tire and wheel freq and suspension Freq. It will build on itself until you get out of the speed range. Its a scary feeling so slow down tell it stops. Normally around 10mph.

take careful measurements of drive line angles also. Meaning pinion angle and drive shaft working angle.
