I bought this GN off CJMATT back in 08 and I dont really post much I mainly just lurk :squint: but after I posted somthing in another thread he was looking for an update - so here it is.

I didn't do much to it last year mainly just cruised around and unfortunately I didn't get to the track so I have no numbers on it. I did install a new aluminum radiator, water pump and also a set of dual fans - these things are loud, it almost sounds like a jet engine when they kick in :)

This winter I decided I was going to work on the interior. I purchased a set of new door panels from GBODYPARTS so that I could install some speakers in the doors to replace the tiny speakers in the dash, I also have an amp and a sub (I am so getting car jacked in Saginaw).

So getting to the project update, I was running the wires for the amp and I made the mistake of putting my hand under the front carpet and I found that it was damp. At this point I was expecting the worst so I ended up pulling the entire interior and this is what I found - it's not too bad really there were a couple of spots that I could see daylight but nothing like I have seen posted on other forums.

I didn't think it was bad enough to install new floor pans so I decided to try some POR15, if it doesn't work I am only out a $100 and I end up replacing the floor pans in the future. I sanded down all the paint and some of the rust and went at it.

Pictures After the second coat (I did the underside too but don't have any pictures). its got a layer of dust and some foot prints, it does look way better in person and I also cant seem to take good pictures.

Once it quits raining the carpet and seats are going back in and I will finish up the stereo, hoping to have it back on the road by next week.

Seeing how all project posts require an engine shot I will end with that, not much difference from when I first purchased it. you can see the feed line for the new alky kit and also a new heater core to replace the one that was leaking to the interior.

My 2 step from fullthrottle comes in tomorrow so it should be fun at the track this year :D

Thats about it, unfortunately I have no exterior shots as its covered in dirt but I will get a couple once its back on the road.

I havn't got as much done as I had planned due to my GTO issues this week (LINK).

I was able to get the new carpet installed today. The fit was far from factory. It needed lots of trimming to get everything to fit right, but I think the end result is awesome. The pictures dont do it justice, It almost looks like a new car (or it will once the seats are back in).
