Alright so I thumped a tree in my Mustang while screwing around the first night we had it out. I can blame it on lots of things but it comes down to lack of brakes and driver error.
Anyhow, when off and stationary the brake pedal feel is fine. When on it goes to the floor and yields no results. There is brake fluid in it and we checked the front calipers and everything seems to be in order. No leaks that we can find either.
I pulled the brake lines off of the master cylinder and gave the brakes a quick squeeze. Fluid squirted out and hit the valve cover but didn't exactly spray out in any large quantity.
I bought a new master cylinder and I'm ready to put it on, but is there anything else I should check?
There's also a small thingy (don't know what) mounted below the master brake cylinder that the lines run into then out of. Any ideas?
