Another odd issue with my car. 86 mustang GT all stock.

Car runs awesome except when I shut it off hot and restart it. It starts up and surges and gets worse and worse until it stalls. It continues this until I drive the car. I could sit there all day and it would keep surging and stalling until I start moving. Very annoying when I make a quick run into a store or something...

Weird... any ideas? Convert to mass air? haha
 
whats your timing set at? Possibly your idle might be set too low, try bringing that up. It could be a ton of different things...vacuum leak, IAC. If its hard starting when hot it sound like a timing problem. Timing shouldnt be past 14 degrees BTDC, my car without a tune idles best around 8-10 degrees.
