8.8 Rear End Advice

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Motown, I could use some advice. I've got a built '98 Cobra making some decent power with a C4 behind it and 28x12.5 ET Streets. Looking into upgrading the stock 8.8. It's mainly a street car so spools are out of the question but I do want it to hold up to leaving at 7K off of the transbrake if need be. Need some recommendations/suggestions on what should to be done, what parts to use and competent shops that can build it right the first time. Thanks in advance.

Weld the axle tubes, Atleast an 33 spline axle, You may be able to use an Eaton traction lock, but I would use Detroit Locker, and you need a good rear cover (TA, Stange, Motorsport,etc..) to support the caps.

i doubt your converter will go to 7k on the brake. and a spool aint shit on the street. there are alot of cars with spools on the street and they work fine.

if your stall is 4k, that's as high as you could possibly launch. you need to run your engine about
2k higher than your stall speed.
