This car is bad ass, listing it for a friend:
mini tubbed 79 capri (all new)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I'm putting my car back on the market. I had a deposit on the car a few months back and that deal fell through do to buyer's lack of funds. I decided at that time I would hang on to the car and button it up. Over the past few months I've had CM D-rings added to the k-member (for tie-down purposes) along with new 1" drop mounts for the steering rack. I have changed out the D&D A-arms with new 12.5" CM rod end style A-arms. Car will also come with new wolfe racecraft CM wheelie bars (wheelie bar brackets are integrated into the bracing on the rear housing). Car will now come with 2 new sets of 15x12 M/T wheels. One set has 28x10.5 M/T slicks mounted. The other set has new McCreary DOT tires mounted and balanced. Car will also come with an Autometer 6885 ultimate II dual channel playback tach w/ software. I will also let a never used mandrel bent, completely welded, 4" x-pipe with 4" bullets and turndowns go as well ( exhaust was built on this car when I had a victor headed 9.2 deck motor in car for mockup). I'm still asking my original price of $9500 with all the above extras included. Over time I have lost interest and motivation and I really need to devote more time to family life. I hate to see it go but its way to nice of a car to just sit and collect dust. The car is a 79' Capri, mini-tubbed stock suspension roller. I purchased the car in 93' with 28000 original miles. I've put approximately 800-1000 miles on it since then. Car has a removable driver side trans tunnel set up for a G-force G-101 4spd or GF-5R 5spd with a sbf. A lot of the fab work was done by Skinny Kid Race Cars, ( Majority of the cage, trans tunnel, motor/mid-plates, rear bulk head, Wolfe clutch pedal etc.). Everything on the car is new. From front suspension to rear suspension, Fuel system to ignition, Brakes, wheels, drop spindles, braced 8.8 housing w/ 33 spl. strange pro-race internals, etc. There is way too much to list on this car. I have a detailed list of what's on the car that I can email to anyone with interest. I don't believe you will find a cleaner original fox body anywhere. Still retains the full original factory interior. Car is super clean in & out, top to bottom.
For an extra $3000 I will include a new clutch assist G-Force G-101 4spd transmission that has the aluminum pistol grip vertigate shifter upgrade and a new Mark Williams billet yoke. I will also include a new Lakewood bell, skinny kid block protector plate, all the clutch linkage, and a Ram single sintered iron disk, fully adjustable pressure plate w/aluminum pressure ring and a lightened aluminum flywheel. This is the same setup Bob Hanlon ran in his H/S car.
If interested please contact me by PM or email [email protected]
Thanks, Mark
