greg anderson just went 6.59 at over 209! set both ends of the record, first pro stock in the 6.50s. and it had diamond pistons in it. thats a bad bitch. 499 inches. 6.50s is crazy.
 
Yeh 499 inches at 2350 lbs...shit is crazy!!! I've heard they are making a little shy of 3 hp per cube has anyone heard similar? Something like 1350 hp at the crank for these things?

In Prostock they only make 1350? Damn, my buddies dad has a 60's Cutty with 1600hp before spray and he's got a best time of 7.58.<<<Shitty driver I guess

They are getting the most out of every hp they make...don't forget they 60ft in the mid to high 0.9's and only weigh 2350 lbs. Still crazy they can make that much hp from a 499 cube motor...INSANE!
 
pro stock spends more time and money on r and d then any form of racing probally. right up there with nascar. they make the most of those 499 inches. they have guys that dyno motors 24 hours a day to find 1 or 2 horsepower. he buys a lot of pistons for us just to try different stuff. 6.50s are sick, didnt think i would see that this year
 
Actually Greg only went 208.49 - his team mate Jason Line went 209.26 (with a 6.60 ET). Quickest side by side Pro stock pass ever. VMP has an awesome track, and the weather conditions are very good down there right now. Should be a great race down there this weekend.

You had to run faster than the record Anderson just set a couple of weeks ago just to make the field. Sixteen cars crammed between 6.571 and 6.630
