LOL I love how he asks for a $500 beater and everything posted is 1K or more lol I have nothing to offer just thought it was funny
Because for $500 you usually won't be buying a running car
Yeah. Usually. But, I've come across MANY vehicles for around $500 that run. Bought a ranger for 100 once and another for $600. It boils down to being at the right place at the right time with cash in hand.
My question is, when was that?
The used car market has changed BIG TIME in the
last 2 years - prices are way up on most everything.
There will always be those rare, not your normal "great
deals", but even those are becoming few & far between.

wait till the snow flies, also mark the price up to 750 OBO let them beat you down to 500 so they think they got a deal

I've owned 2 pieces of reliable transportation that were far less than $500. $65 for an '86 Festiva and $100 for an '85 Omni

THANKS for all the input if not maybe we will just keep it as a shop van and use it for scrap
In 1991 I bought a '81 Cordoba for $80. Drove it for three years after putting a $20 battery in it. Of course, it had a unicorn hood ornament on it...
