5.3L cam choice

Ill be anxious to see what will be said. I also have a 5.3 I plan to build. I was going to give that guy on ls1tech that does the custom cams a shout for mine.
 
Or you could try a local vendor with hands on cam design experience.

I Just thought only a few people can have cams made. I dont think an off the shelf cam will work for me, thats the only reason I was thinking custom made.

I dont really know yet. Its the aluminum 5.3 out of the new truck, flat top piston, 243 head with a bit of port work. I want redline to be around 7000 rpm no higher, I would like to shift at 6800 ish. I wanna make good power through the rpm range.

yeah, hell, you can even call up Comp, talk to them, tell them exactly what you have and what you want it to do, and if they don't have a off the shelf cam that will do it, they will mix and match lobes, or grind a custom cam, no biggie for them
