I believe my pilot bearing is dying in my car. Ill have it apart Friday to be sure. I was recommended to go with a solid bearing? I'm having trouble finding one.. Should I replace the throw out bearing as well??
Car is being launched around 5K on slicks, fyi.

Might as well do the throw out bearing your gonna be that deep into it. That and you won't have to worry about it for a while

Yeah, I'll probably re-do a throw out bearing .. again. Not sure why my Pilot bearing is dying.. I found a Pilot bushing .. Kevlar style, at advance auto parts .. I may pick that up??

Pilot bearings go bad from lack off lube or misalignment. When they go bad they usally take out the input shaft with it.
A bearing is going to take a lot more thrust load than any bushing. I don't recommend switching away from a bearing. (in performance applications you always try to switch TO a bearing from a bushing)
The bearing itself has a seal, to retain grease/lube. Make sure its installed correctly and lubricated.
Proper procedure for aligning a bellhousing to the block instructions can be found on YouTube.

My brother and I did tighten the bellhousing bolts last night.. at least half a turn .. :S.
I'll have it apart here soon, then see what I want to do.. :s
