5.0 timing/spout question NEED HELP ASAP

Once again w/ the timing I know lol...

Double checked my timing, car was idling great w/ good throttle response, locked the dist. back down, checked timing again to verify it was in the same place and it was. Plugged the SPOUT back into the harness and since then its just not running great.

Idle will stay steady @ about 800 then fall to like 4-500 then correct itself.
Throttle response is still good, but after I let the cable go back the RPM's fall pretty damn slow. I let it idle in the garage like this for about 10 minutes and it didn't seem to be getting any better.

So I just unhooked the battery and Im gonna let it sit for like 15 minutes and start it up again. Anyone know what the problem could be or if just leving it unhooked then reconnecting the battery and driving it some will correct it? I know you guys said to put the SPOUT back in, but it seems like it was running better without it. Granted its only seen from idle to about 3000 RPMs, but it was running really nice.

Sounds like:
A: Vacuume Leak
B: Bad IAC motor

My F150 did the same thing. It sounded like it had a cam at idle and when you hit the throttle it would shoot up and come down really slow than bam it idled like it had a cam again. Chances are you didn't notice it as much when the spout was unplugged because the idle was raised a bit. Caheck all your vacuume lines and even the PCV hose...That where my leak was.

If that doesn't work, try pulling off the IAC motor and sprying it out with some throttle body cleaner and put it back on. Then replace it if that doesn't fix it.

Yeah I'll check for leaks. I already sprayed the IAC out real good when everything was taken off the car.

Any more opinions?
 
Sometimes spraying out the IAC can cause weird things to happen. I cleaned one on another vehicle and it started making awful noises.

Its running better than it was previously. Its goin out to Livernois so Im gonna let them iron out the fine details however they want to do it.
