I'm doin new fuel lines (Earl's Superstock hose) on my 88 foxbody and wondering if anyone has used the 97 explore fuel rail that has the connections on the pass side near firewall? If you have did it bolt right up? And is the explore fuel pressure regulator the same as the stock mustangs? Or if there is a stock fuel rail that has the connectors on drivers side? The reason for wanting to change the location of fuel rail connectors is the car is turboed and using a gm alt. sits close to the fuel rail connectors.

According to Aeromotive it's the same regulator as the 5.0 SN.95. You're going to want to change the regulator anyways to 1.1 rise boost reference regulator so I'd say go for it.
On my car I have the fuel lines running along the firewall and come up on the side of the valve covers. Left over stuff from its turbo past... Your building a turbo car get used to changing stuff like this.LOL

Do you or anyone know if the stock regulator from the stock explore/sn95 5.0 is the same as foxbody in pressure idle, zero vac? Because my car is already tuned and don't want to get it retuned just cause of the fuel pressure difference.

Yea it's the same. They didn't change the pressure setting till they went to returnless. Is the car tuned without the 1.1 rise boost reference?

Ya its tuned by lideo with the stock fuel rail and stock fuel pressure reg. And has no problems with fuel.
