Are 97 4v exhaust manifolds the same as 04 4v manifolds?
I chopped off my long tube headers & Im never ever putting long tubes on a 4v ever agian.
Trying to figure out what H pipe to order for the 04 engine going in my 97 cobra..

In reference to the exhaust ports, they are not the same. B heads are different than C heads.

In reference to the outlet of the manifold, 96-98 midpipes are different than 99-04 but I am not sure if that is because of the outlet of the manifold or the mounting points on the chassis.

Dare I ask why you are never putting LT's on a 4V again?? Ground clearance or sound??

I had the flowtechs with the 2 piece slip fittings, just a huge pain in the ass, dropping the k member to install them & they wouldnt come apart when it was time come off. I looked at both sets of manifolds the bolt pattern looks the same.

Well they list headers for my car 96-03 as the same part number. Also I know the B & C heads are different. thanks for your help. Im going to take a closer look at them.

03-04 heads have larger exhaust ports, and require 03-04 manifolds to flow properly. You will be choking them with the 96-01 manifolds, but they will physically bolt up.

ya I got that part, I plan on using the 04's & a 97 H pipe. but I still need to check with a measuring caliper for the output.

The ports are larger for sure lol, but not on the output end! I found the 97 manifolds have larger studs then the 04 on the output end! but the gasket/seal fits both style manifolds.
