looking for a junkyard core? rebuilt unit? a used working unit? 2wl or 4wl or one with a brake drum on the back (3 output shaft lenghts)? w or w/o converter. 2000 i think is a year break-two differant standing heights for torqueconverters that year. wrong converter=broken pump.
I have 1 4 wl dr complety rebuilt (it started out with 6k, truck burned up in a fire, melted the plastic sensors & connectors) up graded with superior valve body kit(shift kit), several other heavy duty modifications.

2wd truck with parking brake on the back. I was told you can change the output shafts for the parking brake. Well the case is busted on the old one so at this point in time.....anything that can still be rebuilt or one that is. Yeah i am aware of the updated line prerssure, and valve body. The trans will be going into a wrecker so it has to be bullet proof. I will call you this week sometime. shoot me a price if I don't talk to you this week. Thanks rich.

yes, the output can be swapped. but not without completely disassembling the trans. i may have a empty case. large trucks tend to crack in the bellhousing area, due to driveline vibrations. what exact year do you have/need? also, do you have the casting # off the case?

4l80e transmissions went through several design changes and improvements. to name just a few, 91-95 used a different case, reverse pins common to come loose, 96-97 beefer case around reverse pins, 97up different pump assy, pan & filter also changed(swapping with earlier versions sometimes hits the cross member to pan) 200up used different torque converters, 04 up used different electronics, cooler line locations changed around 1998.
it is possible to use earlier 4l80e transmissions in later vehicles. you just have to make several modifications and be careful which torque converter you use.

well either or i need one that I can drop in and go or I have to get a jasper one. Yes the case did crack at the dowel pin and i had it welded back up. The wrecker is a 2000 with a 6.5L. I do not have the casting # handy.
