427/R?

I'm at work today and go out to the parking lot and see this 06/07 Mustang GT sitting all the way in the back of the lot, I didn't give it much attention until I saw that it had a 427/R decal on either side, but even then I didn't pay it much attention because I just thought it was some guy that wanted to add something to his car. Well, I kept looking and saw that it was an 'M' plate car, so that's what really got my attention.

The car looked like a Roush only it didn't have the rear Roush bumper nor the exhaust tips, which were OEM style, but bigger. It was a convertible, had the Roush wing, Roush front fascia and the rocker panels.

I waited around a little bit to see if I could hear it run to determine if the badges that read 427/R were just for show. Well, he started it and it sounded like no 281 3v motor I've ever heard. It was real deep and loud. I'm wondering if Roush is building a car with a 6.8litre engine....hmmmm.

I would have taken picks, but the guy was sitting inside the car and I didn't wanna get yelled at lol.

Google works wonders....

"The 427R horsepower package is highlighted by the intercooled ROUSHcharger system which adds 115 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque to the base Ford 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system."
