396 SBC Engine For Sale, All top quality parts. Costs about $8000 to replicate. Roughly $3000 in the bottom end and $5000 in the top end, $1000 in portwork alone. It was built for True Street racing with a LOT of nitrous in mind. Bottom end has a few thousand miles on it and the refreshed top end has 2 summers of driving on it. Idles nice, shifts at 7500. It ran 9.85 @ 140 with less cam, no portwork, and a 200 shot. My goal here was 8.90's with these parts and a 300 shot. @ 3400lbs. Time to get out of it.. Engine should make 625-650hp roughly with the small carb and headers.
