2v gt ZEX wet kit

i have a buddy at work that has a wet nitrous kit from zex and was wondering if it needs to be tuned. i know if tuned it would run better and make more power, but how high of a shot can he go b4 a tune?

After a 75 shot it needs timing pulled. That kit goes to 125 and would need 4* pulled. I would have the rev limiter pulled as well so you dont pull gas if you bounce off of it while spraying.

Besides a progammer how do you pull the timing. sorry im a SBF guy

Take it in and have it dyno tuned. I have seen guys run a 125 shot without issue but it is still best to have it tuned. You could run an adjustable timing gear but the hassle of installation is not worth it and yet will still be less than stellar compared to the tuning.

Get an MSD digital 6 box for it. It has a retard switch in it already and you can also set the rev limiter just below the stock one. Should be just fine till he can get it tuned. I sprayed 150 at my vert with a dry kit setup like that for awhile before I got the car tuned.

I ran a nx wet kit on my 03 with a 100 shot un-tuned. I ran some colder plugs and retarted the timing with my sct tuner by like 2 degrees. Also ran 93 octane gasoline. Your buddy should be fine on this setup, mine was. My car ran strong as hell. I am trying to get my car tuned this year tho because I'm getting some longtubes and cams for the car.
