The second annual AdvoKate Run takes place August 2nd, 2008, new and improved with a 10k Run and chip timing, in addition to a 5k run and walk, and 1 mile walk. This is a unique fitness event which includes special post-run activities for kids, music and fun for the whole family!

All proceeds support pediatric brain cancer research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of 6-year-old Kate Hrischuk, of Rochester, who lost her battle with intrinsic brain stem glioma in early 2007.
AdvoKate is a non-profit organization founded by Kate's parents whom have taken on the mission to raise awareness about the issue of limited research available on the disease that took Kate's life. For more information about Kate and her story, visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/katehrischuk
