289 spark issue

My 68' 289 isn't getting any spark. I changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. What else could be causing it not to spark? I checked for spark by taking off a plug and putting it to a head bolt and cranking.

ok, you check for power?

coil needs power on the + terminal, and a ground pulse when cranking on the - terminal

Do i use a test light? If so, what do i put the light to? and thanks for the quick reply!

to check for power, put the test light clip to the negative post of the battery, and the point to the + side of the coil, then turn the key on

My light couldnt reach the negative post to the coil, so i put it on the valve cover and checked and there was no power. I just replaced it, why wouldnt it have power?

yea, i took that out and took it to advance auto and they did an ohm test and they said its no good anymore. where can i find another?
