2012 regal gs

Was by the buick dealer this morning and figured I would stop and see if they had a new regal gs. They had one, white with polished 20" wheels. Pretty sweet ride, will have to go back and test drive. Did anyone here pick one up yet.
 
I know, only a turbo 4 with 270hp. I am sure it is still fun to drive but a 6 would have been nice.
 
GM needs a beefed up Malibu to compete with Hyundai. My buddies new Sonata has actual balls (270hp) and he can get 40mpg with it. What the fuck.

hyundai and kia. That new optima sx has the same motor as the hyundai, loaded is 32k stick but there are being bought for around 27-28 plus ttl

Can get 2013 Malibu that's cheaper than that, and it's a real car. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Hyundai or a Kia.
 
I got to drive the regular Regal and was really impressed. Can't wait to test out a Regal GS.

Too bad the Malibu is the biggest piece of shit car made. I'd drive the hell out of a new Kia Optima GTDI. I'm all for american, hell I havnt owned anything but Ford. But the styling of those new Kias and 270hp 4 popper with 100k miles warranty. You cant beat that.

I'm going with the latter. You say the Malibu is the biggest piece of shit car made, but you've never owned or driven one? Funny.

You can get this, which is a real car, that isn't a piece of shit, for less and wouldn't have to be degraded or masculinity questioned for driving one.

Well when I want to "Raise my masculinity" back up I will jump in my superduty or my Mustang. In the meantime, I'd be happy enjoying my 40mpg with a car that would give your Malibu a beating like a red headed stepchild. And I know of several people, including a couple members here that have one or had one that do nothing but bitch about what a pile it is. I wouldnt drive a Malibu if it was given to me. Oh and the new Kia is built in Georgia. I would proudly support fellow americans making a buck building this car.

So your conclusions are coming from a few people having issues, when the vast majority in the big picture obviously don't? Smooth logic. Sorry, Kias or pretty much any other Asian car with few exceptions, are a joke as well as the people that drive them. /threadjack

Shame we didn't get the same motor it's Euro cousin got. TT V6 with a bit more power. I won't hate on the turbo 4, I loved mine. It was built back when Ford & Mazda were partners, and it was a decent car.

I don't really get how driving a Kia is a hit against someone's masculinity, but then again, I'm not the one making the claim. Sounds like someone's been listening to too much "America, Fuck Yeah!" and failing to look at the big picture.

Although not the most manly car in the stable, i would definitely rock a Malibu over a Kia. In fact I would drive any 10 year old domestic car before any new foreign car. Maybe what we need is a little more "America, Fuck Yea"

I've seen the Kia/Hyundai being pumped up for having 270 HP several times in this thread, totally ignoaring that the GM turbo 4 also makes 270 HP.

That European TTV6 in the Insignias might make more power but that engine is a pile of shit, that's why you can't get it here. They had it in the SRX for a short bit but I think it got dropped.
