ford absolutely knocked it out of the park with the '11 GT. i cant wait to see track numbers for this thing.

395 at the tires?!! Are you kidding me? GT500's in '07-08 were putting down 440 rwhp give of take. With a 5.4......... and a blower!

2011 will not only be a 12 second car but a stout 12 second car! Amazing!

LOl. Same thing I was thinking. 03/04 cobra's will still walk all over them. Looks like they'll still be disappearing in my rear view pretty easily :gr_jest:

A tune and tires and I think it'll be a much much different story, that lil 5.0 packs a big punch an thats being reserved.

Did you see the Tq # though? Ewww

About 16 less than the LS3. Mustang is a lighter car also if I remember correctly? Ford made it more fun for sure :D

meth injection kits and blowers will be hand in hand, i wouldnt say risky business so much as a little harder to tune

naw, itll be risky. Part of getting it to rev that high was lightening components. I wouldnt stick a blower on it with stock rods

Isnt is kinda "maxed" out from the factory?..l

Yes... literally.. MAXed out.

That is what a lot of people dont understand. I had to do some reading on this myself.

Stock tubular shorties, stock cold air intake, stock 3" mandrel exhaust (goes down to 2.5 in one spot), VVT cams... not sure how to upgrade those and on top of all of that, 11.0:1 compression. (Have fun with a turbo or blower on that!)

Pretty much either do a complete rebuild of the motor or just say with a stock setup.

FRPP's blower kit will be out in a month or so..........ya, guess its not maxed out

Im sure there will be many, but you wont be able to bolt a blower on with a tune and go high 10's (500+whp over and over.)

The pistons as far as I can tell are not forged and the rods are powdered metal. (The GT500's are Forged.) We shall see how much they will hold, only time will tell.

But I'm guessing with 11:0 and a non forged piston, Lidio/Livernois will be doing more rebuilds than upgrades ;-)
