The following Track Days are locked in with Milan Dragway for the 2010 Motown Muscle Race Season:

Race 1 - May 29th, Sat, 9am-noon

Next Race
Race 2 - Aug 13th, Fri, 9-3pm

Race 3 - Sep 17th, Fri, 9-3pm Canceled

Race 4 - Oct 16th, Sat 10am-1pm - This is a NOET Saturday

We want to leverage prepaying this year with PayPal for Race Fees. It'll help us plan a bit better for the cash flow and ease the money handling on race day. All fees will be refunded in the event of a race cancellation.

So here are the Race Fees for the 2010 Motown Race Events:

Active Club Members: (your $25 annual dues are paid up on race day)
PayPal $45
At Gate $50

Non Active Club Members and Other Guest Racers:
PayPal $55
At Gate $60

Notice that it is a $10 discount for active paid club members. So with the three race dates locked in and another possible one in the planning for October, you can cover your $25 annual club membership dues with the race day savings alone for the year. :)

As always... all spectators will be invited to attend our races for free. That's a $4 per head savings for you to bring out your family and friends. So bring them out for a good time at the track and show them what racing is all about.

When payin with PayPal, please note the race date that you are paying for in the text area of the PayPal payment and your real name and screen name to make identification easier on race day. We will provide the Milan Gate Staff with the list of the prepaid racers to help expedite your entrance into the Pit Area.

We've got a buys stretch of car stuff coming over the next 6 weeks. Remember we're racing on Friday, August 13th. :D

There have been some requests to bring back our three racing classes for bragging rights. So we will do that on our two Friday races. We will have test and tune before and after our class racing.

Class 1 is Run what you brung heads up racing on a pro tree. We'll do a survey of the cars at race time to see if we want to run NoET for this class. :D

Class 2 is 11.99 and faster bracket racing.

Class 3 is 12.00 and slower bracket racing.

We don't have money in the budget for prizes this year but we will dig out our old point system for the last two race events and recognize the class points winners. Top three finishers in the three classes will get a one year club membership prize. We'll add it on to your current status or upgrade you to club member status.

So let's see a good turnout for some racing.

RICK - I'm planning on coming with the Vette. I possibly have a few buddies wanting to attend as well. Can we all pay at the track?

We are just wanting to run test & tune - what are the times for that?
 
Yes, bikes are allowed. Milan will generally run then single or pairs just to be safer for the riders on the track during the rentals. You'll be able to make as many passes as you want so it's great from launching practice. :)

Yep, no problem with paying at the track. The PayPal is just a way to speed things up and makes it easier for some folks.

Test and tune will run all day. We'll take a break around 1pm to run the classes which is really just fun running and bragging rights. :) Then we'll finish the day with more TnT.

Reminder guys it's the Track Rental is Next Friday. More passes then you can shake a stick at so get out and have some fun. The FLU does happen in August for those that don't want to spend a vacation day hahaha. :D

Hopefully Milan will let us do some NO et passes... I know they will let me make solo No ET passes, but I have some ppl id like to race.
 
I just set my motor back in tonight with new heads, intake, cam, and valvetrain. Friday should be perfect to shake it down!
 
I'm hoping to attend, unfortunately I won't know for certain until Thursday.

When is the cutoff for the paypal pre-payment?
 
I'm a new member, so I'm not familiar with your rountine.However very excited about being a member or becoming one, I would like to attend this friday's event. Is that possible? Or can someone tell me who I need to contact?
 
Anyone and everyone can attend a Motown rental. If you want to race, you pay. It costs less to members than to non-members.

Not sure I will be able to make this one. Or maybe I can make part of it. I have a meeting with my director (level above my boss) in the morning of raceday.
