What a sweet ride. The 6-spped is crisp, the clutch is precise, the handling is unbelievably responsive and the car is very quiet. Not one rattle or squeak to be found. The 420hp LS3, even with the traction Control engaged, pulled like a freight train. I was in Camaro heaven and hadn't even died yet. :3gears::angel:

Here are some pix.

Eh I would edit out anything about driving that car, thats one sure way to get your buddy fired ;)

Did I say that I drove it? ;)

how strong did it feel compared to a stock ls2 gto, ls1 4th gen.

Anything you did not like?

I've never driven an LS2 GTO, but I have driven a 4th gen WS6. The new Camaro was more responsive. It's hard to say if it had more balls than the WS6 because I'm a little rusty with a stick, so I left the traction control on and didn't do any 6500rpm clutch dumps. ( I mean, the ghost driver, not me) ;)

The interior is surprisingly roomy and easy to get into. (I have a 94 and 00 Camaro for comparison. The 2010 is much more comfortable.)
There is a sizeable blind spot between the rear passanger window and rear window due to the design, but there are good sized side-view mirrors that help compensate.
The brakes are Brembos and stop on a dime, giving 9 cents change. That was another noticeable change.
I had to make a quick veer to avoid a huge pothole at one point and the car zipped right and back left with zero sway. It tracked like a vette but without the stiff ride. This car would be enjoyable to drive on a long trip.

Oh, I almost forgot. Having spent a few weeks at the Oshawa Plant where they are being made, I recall that the trunk opening is almost round and smaller than I'd like.

IIRC you live in waterford right? that house across the street looks REALLY familiar....

Wouldn't happen to be near a big curve would it?

I don't like the tail but everything else I do. are they still gonna make the elcamino thingy? I loved that car

And Homer...you should have given me a call and I would have high-tailed home to go for a ride and check it out up close and personal! Next time for sure!

Awesome - I can't wait to get behind the wheel of one of these.

yes, the trunk opening is pretty strange for sure :D

The yellow reminds me of Big Bird, I just don't care for what they did to the poor front end of them....

very exciting to hear one of the guy got to go for a spin in one.. ive been waiting to hear the real deal on the car...and now i want one even more..hmmm thinkin about sellin the my blown ss silverado hmm intersting.. but then id be alot slower..haha

You're on the short list for next opportunity. Had I known that they weren't in a hurry, we'd have tooled over to your crib. Next time, for sure. (I was informed that it may be within the next couple of weeks.)
