2007 Mariner random misfire when cold

When the temperature drops, I will get a random, single, one misfire and have the engine fall on its face for a split second when the weather gets colder (like 30ish and below). It doesn't do it more that just once at a time, and there are no codes flagged at all. It's the 3.0L engine. Any ideas on where to look?

As stated above, check to see that there is no moisture at the plugs. Clean everything with contact cleaner (for electronics) to remove any trace of debris that might cause intermittent tracking of the spark to ground. I have seen carbon tracking on a few coil packs on newer cars. Its not too common but does still occur.

I'll check the coils later this week when I get some more time (have to yank the upper intake manifold). I didn't have this issue before doing the plugs, so that would be a good place to check out. Like I said, it's weird that it will only do it once really quick, and then back to normal.
