My girlfriend is selling her 2005 Ford Escape. It is a 4-cylinder with approximately 61k miles. The truck has step bars and is front wheel drive. She has had it for a few years, but bought it used.
Last year for Christmas it got 2 new tires, and last week or so it got another 2 new tires (matching tires) to replace the two that weren't changed earlier (they didn't need replacement last year). The truck has been good to her, and also provides decent gas mileage. The truck is in good shape. The only issue I can think of off-hand is that the headliner or trim above in the rear of the vehicle is a bit loose, so there is a gap visible when you open the rear (probably an easy fix or maybe even just pop some plastic push-pins back in).
The truck is located in Livonia. She is looking for $10,000.00 OBO. A quick search on Autotrader (today, Nov. 2) for zip 48154 on 2005 Escapes between 54k and 66k miles ranged from $9,900 to $14,488...so this is a fair price in my opinion. Most local trucks near her mileage seemed to be about $12,000.
If interested, send a PM or call 734-673-5711 and ask for Stacie (EDIT: NEW NUMBER IS 734-306-9661). Alternate contact information is [email protected]
The 2005 model year got powertrain refinement:

The 2005 Escape is the latest Ford Motor Company vehicle to take advantage of the new global modular four-cylinder engine family. The base engine in the Escape displaces 2.3 liters and produces 153 horsepower and 152 foot-pounds of torque, an increase of 26 horsepower and more than 15 foot-pounds of torque compared with the 2004 model's 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The new engine produces its torque on a broader, flatter curve than the current powerplant, for better mid-range throttle response. For the first time, the four-cylinder engine will be available with a four-speed automatic transmission...
...The new engine increases the towing capacity of four-cylinder Escape models from 1,000 pounds to 1,500 pounds for 2005.
