A friend of mine down here is selling a super clean 2003 YZ450F. This is one helluva deal. Trust me, everything this guy has is meticulously maintained. I'm just bummed that I can't free up enough cash right now to buy it. He goes by Hemicar on mm, but he's not on here much....update....$3500 with extra wheel set, $3000 without!!.......

looks like a clean bike but that price is high for an 03, you can buy brand new fuel injected 250s for under 6 grand

he has it listed for $3000, firm, on TT, $3500 with extra wheels. guess he never updated the cl ad. nice thing is, the 03's were still 4-spds., and it's a 450, not a 250.

i just think it'd be a perfect bike to have a ball on. it's approaching vintage status as far as thumpers go, but i'd be willing to bet that in the right hands, it'd give most current 450's all they'd want....

That bike is clean as hell for an 03, most of them are beat to shit. Although I agree. Its an 03' going on 10 years old. I bought an 05 YZ450F NEW off the showroom floor in 06 for 4200 did a full FMF exhaust, air box, piston, chain + sprockets anodized blue, full suspension, tires, aftermarket plastic, extra paddle wheel an tire and I let it go in 2010 for 3k. The steel frame kills it for a lot of people.

I loved my 450 with the mods I had done but ride a new FI bike. They are night and day. I agree, ive seen people on 450's get passed by a kid on a 125 at the track lol Rider is a key thing

Good luck, my brother just sold his 06 RMZ 450 with low hours(probably 15-20 hours, tires still had the knobbies(sp?) on them, engine side covers didn't even have boot wear) and had trouble getting 2800 for it. I was shocked how little he was able to get for it.

the motorcycle market is definitely a fickle one.......
