2002 Pontiac Grand Prix AC problem 3.1L V6

The AC in my car is acting up and I'm wondering where to start. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes it will not come on at all. It is full of refrigerant. The fan blows but the compressor will not kick in at all. I think it may be electrical but I am wondering where to start. Thanks
 
On the back of alot of the GM compressors there is a high side switch. It is prone to water infiltration and will loose connection. This will cuase inop AC compressor.
