Replacing intake on my 02 mustang gt. I removed the orignal intake and found only 1 head has this insert tube set in the front port of drivers side head. There is a similar port on the passenger side head closest to firewall. This port does not have this insert tube installed and this is where I had gasket failure. Should there be an insert tube in this port also? Need to put the car back togathe to get it out today. Anybody have a clue?

Is it on the bottom of the intake manifold by chance?

Unfortunately it is not. I replaced the engine with a used about 2 years ago and was purchased without intake. The drivers side tube just pulls out and sits in the port. If the passenger side is suppose to have one it might have fallen out in transit to the shop. I'm curious, does anyone know if both heads are to have this tube? After 2 years of running fine i began filling up my spark plug port with coolant closest to this tube port in question. I have another drivers side head laying around I could steel the tube from to install in the passenger side. Although my extra passenger side head does not have this tube either.
