My father owns a 2002 Chevrolet S10 with about 98,000 miles on it. It has a 4.3 liter v6 engine, automatic trans, 2 wheel drive. When cold it runs fine. But once it warms up the truck will idle rough. The rpm will fluctuate between 400 and 750 rpm. It will occasionally stall at lights. He also tells me that the truck gets pretty low fuel mileage. (Mom hates giving him gas money). Can someone give me some direction on what be the cause? By the way this truck does not have an EGR valve. Thanks.

You check the Mv coming from the o2 sensor? If so, check the resistance on the coolant temp sender to ensure its reading right per OEM spec.

Check the map sensor as well, I had a saturn do the same thing, ran fine cold then after it warmed up it wouldnt idle
