2001 Sable power driver's window

The driver's window has worked intermittently for a long time. Mostly refusing to work.

If I access the passenger compartment fuse panel and wiggle the driver one touch down relay, the window will work. I've even changed relays, and it's still only works part of the time.

So I'm thinking the problem is a bad female connection up in the fuse panel. Is that hard to remove?

I see a couple bolts at the bottom, and 3 large grey boxes containing multiple connections on one side that would probably have to come off first. I think I see a spring clip at the top on the right side.

I just don't want to risk freaking out the entire electrical system if I lower the fuse panel. I guess it's made to be serviced w/o risk, but who knows :seizure:

Are the lower bolts and the grey boxes center-bolted place all that's necessary to lower the fuse panel?

If I could find some female to male connectors that were longer on the male end I could try those instead and leave the cover off..

just disconnect your battery, and remove all the bolts or clips holding the fuse box in, and lower it. Usually to replace the female connections you need to go in from teh back side with a small pick tool and release the tang that holds it in, and the females should wiggle out
