2001 Pontiac Grand Prix Fans

So I have a Pontiac Grand Prix SE and both cooling fans are running constantly running. My ECT sensor was bad and I replaced that and ir remedied the situation for two days, but I was driving today and the service engine soon light came on and the fans were running again.

so does anyone have any ideas??

what is the service engine light on for ? if it came back on theres a chance that something else is still wrong
 
I looked the code up, P0128, and it had a list of problems. It all deals with the cooling system. I replaced the ECT, which was bad, and it went away for a few days. then all of a sudden the temperature shot way up while I was driving. So I stopped and the service engine soon light came on and the cooling fans bohh engaged and have not shut off while the vehicle is running since.

The code included cooling fans running improperly. which is waht I have. so im not sure where to go from there.
 
ok, one other question
I have pulled three out that shut one or the other fan off. shouldnt I only have one for each?
