2000 sonoma wont start

not sure whats wrong with it here, its gotta be something with the security since the light flashes and the car wont crank. Everything else works as normal.

I'd look at the lock cylinder or the key. IIRC it has a hall effect sensor (PK3 blank?) and those go bad on occasion especially with a higher miles vehicle.

man i had an s-10 that had an electrical gremlin for years.. Then i sold it to one of Sal(sopranos) workers and they sent that bitch to mexico. man that was a fun little truck. I used to video tape me doing 1/4 mile passes from random redlights.. 82coupe351 knows what I'm talking about. good luck though. I changed all kinds of shit and it would go away for a few and find it's way back..

the key doesnt have a chip in it.

No chip but there is a hall effect sensor that senses that the key is in the ignition so it can't be started with a screwdriver.
