2000 Ford Contour V6 P0430 code

So my 2000 Ford Contour V6 just started throwing the P0430 code which is the general code for inefficient catalyst on bank 2. I have a few questions. Is bank 2 the rear bank (between engine and fire wall)? Anybody know how to check if an O2 sensor is bad? I'm hoping this is just an O2 sensor or the third cat because if it is either of the first 2 cat's, they are integrated into the exhaust manifolds and costly enough I'll just drive the car until it dies. It does sound like it may have a slight exhaust leak but you only hear it under throttle and load. At idle or revving it when stopped, you don't hear anything. I'm going to have to troubleshoot this thing over the weekend.
 
If your getting an effieciency code for the cat... your gonna need a new one. it sucks and its costly, but the cat is probably split inside or broke apart. How does it run?
