I have a 2000 Ford Contour Sport for sale. It has the 2.5L V6 and a 5 speed manual transmision. If you were to run a Carfax, it would show it has had 4 owners but I bought the car new, sold it to my sister in 2002, they retitled it in her Husband's name for some reason in around 2007 and I bought it back from them a little over a year ago. The car has 93K original miles. It has 4 good tires, two of which were purchased over the summer and only have a 1000 miles on them. I put a new battery in it when I bought it as well. The engine runs strong with no issues and no oil leaks and the trans shifts like new. The body and interior are probably around a 5 or 6/10. Some rust, quite a few scratches and door ding type dents and sun damaged spoiler but no major damage.

The car is not perfect, though. Here is what you need to know:

- The A/C doesn't work. I don't know exactly why because I didn't care if it worked or not.
- The remote keyless is flaky and only works when it feels like it. It does have two new fobs that I bought as soon as I got the car back.
- It has developed a fairly loud rattle in the back. I think one of the rear struts is gone but it has not seemed to affect ride or handling. I can't find anything else that would be rattling, though, so I'm pretty sure it is a strut.

Asking $2,000 or best offer. PM if interested.

I thought this car would go fast! Someone buy it and save me from having to post it on Craigslist and dealing with all that involves. :)

You know, I'm not exactly sure. We bought it back from my sister for my niece that was living with us to drive to school. She was only driving 6-8 miles round trip each day so I'd say not very good. Probably something like 17 mpg? I have no idea about highway MPG but would guess it isn't spectacular either. Probably in the neighborhood of 25.
