2,000 HP LSX

I don't mind Nate. I think he's helping to do a lot of things that are great for drag racing. You just have to remember that he can't use the normal 'car guy' jargon because they are trying to open the market to John Q. Public which means being a little simpler so people that aren't familiar with all of the racing stuff can still get something out of it as they learn.

2000 hp with a stock crank is pretty insane though.

Does anyone know why they picked an LSX over a SBC? Really doesn't make much sense to me.

I just learned it was a GM funded engine to test/research the strength of the LSX block, makes more sense now :)

The LSX is a SBC. Its on the LS plateform (iron) block. And that Block can hold 2500+hp.... The strongest block Gm has ever made into production...

I could be wrong though...

You could be :) DRCE P/N 24502572

I don't need to know what an LSX block is... ;)

That's only GM though, why not get a dart BBC block, they're holding down 4000+ horsepower, SBC Dart blocks are holding more power than the LSX and have some sweet heads. I do like the LSX block design but it would be cool to see some heads made specifically for drag racing that use more advanced intake designs.
