1998 Chevrolet 1 ton CK 3500 4WD Crew Cab what motor?

We just picked up this truck to sell. I was told it had engine issues. When we got it the pan is off and the guy tells me the motor cooked its bearings. It looks like a 5.7 vortec motor in the truck now. My question is what motor will fit? How hard is the swap? I am trying to just flip it as is but if the swap is easy I might just find a motor and put it in. Easier to sell a working truck then a broken one. Let me know what you think.
 
It might be worth a trip to the scrapyard? Just sayin, might be worth calling in to get a current value..
 
PM sent. I want to just slap a motor back in it but I just dont know how hard it will be? Denny do you mean to get a motor or scrap the truck? In rough shape according to kbb trade in is 3500
