Posting for a buddy..
This is a 1997 Camaro with full custom 1987 chrome Buick Grand National motor, which is highly modified with a polished TE44 Turbo 42.5 injectors, 3-inch custom downpipe with 3 inch custom exhaust throughout.
It also has a 70 mm Hemco intake, ATR adjustable external wastegate, 212/212 Hydraulic cam, diamond pistons and billet main caps, and APR fasteners. The car is set at 25 PSI on 110 Turbo Blue or can run 17 PSI pump gas and is a low 11 second set up.
The transmission is a hardened Turbo 400 with a 3200 Stall custom drive shaft and 3.42 Eaton Posi. After market suspension components consist of sub frame connectors, and an adjustable body mount torque arm.
The engine compartment has been painted along with the engine block, heads, and accessories. Powercoating has been applied to the upper and lower intake, valve covers and headers, cross-over, and downpipe.
The windows have a 5% tint and RK Sport fiberglass, 4 inch cowl hood and Tonneau cover. There is an Autometer 30 lb. boost gauge, Autometer fuel pressure gauge, and Scanmaster 2.1. The car comes with factory RS ground affects and spoiler and cross drilled rotors.
This car competed in the 2009 Detroit Autorama show and won 3rd place in the custom convertible category.
The award was a great accomplishment, as well as the times spent with the car, however a house is in my future and compromises have to be made.
