Up on the chopping block this time is my 1996 Silverado, 180k, push button 4x4 that works great. It is actually the Cheyenne package (manual window + locks, Bench seat ect) Does have carpet + Ac. Truck runs good but does have a bottom end knock, Currently has a 305 in it, I have a 75k 350 long block that will go with the truck so long as im not low balled to hard. Knock developed over a year ago, I bought the spare motor but didnt feel like replacing it untill I needed to, Hasn't happened yet, still sparks right up and runs good.
I have had the truck for roughly 2 years now, It started as my dd for almost a year, I bought a Sonoma to DD almost a year ago now so this truck was pretty much used for towing things around town, trips to lowes and things of the like. Body is rusty but still intact, rockers are there doors still open and close good, I put new cab corners in when I first got it but never got around to actually painting them so I just hit them with a can of perfect match spray bomb. It has 17" 2005 Avalanche wheels with 295/75/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers that are fairly worn but still get the job done.
00sonolow has the truck as I type this getting the interior all cleaned up I will get some pics as soon as I get it back from him, Interior cleans up pretty well. Passenger fender has some large dents in it, I could aquire a new one if it was a deal breaker on a reasonable offer.
I will get some pictures as soon as I get the truck back, Just figured I would get the thread started to see if anyone had any interest. This truck has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned as far as realibilty goes. I did have to replace the battery and starter last year but that is the extent of it. Would make a great dd/winter beater/work truck/plow truck/feild truck/farm truck/ any truck for a cheap price.
