1996 Chevrolet Corvette coupe. Polo Green Metallic (1 of 2414) with Light Beige leather interior. Correct 350cid LT1 engine and 4L60 automatic transmission. Well equipped with Bose stereo, transparent lift-off Targa top, power sport seats, Bose 6-speaker stereo, performance rear axle ratio. 140,924 miles. This is a very original 2 non-smoking owner Corvette which has been a year-round daily driver since new.

Below is a description of each area of the vehicle.
Body: The body is straight with minimal damage:
• hood has a scrape above the driver’s front wheel from a driveway incident
• The left hinge on the fuel door is broken
All other body panels fit well and appear original to the vehicle. There are no signs of previous accident damage. The roof is cloudy and translucent.
Paint: The Polo Green Metallic paint is original in a little less than fair condition. The paint has excellent shine and looks good from 15 feet. Up close the paint has scratches on nearly every body panel. The hood is the worst, with horizontal scratches from items being placed on it (see pictures).
Glass: The windows were tinted before the current owner bought the car in 1999. The tint is old, worn and starting to come off.
Trim: All of the trim is worn from years of daily use. Weather stripping is worn but water tight.
Underbody: The frame and underbody is quite clean for a 20 year old Michigan vehicle: only minor corrosion is visible.
Interior: The interior is in decent condition with all components present and functional. The beige leather power seats sit very well and the leather is in fair condition: the driver’s seat has a small crack on the side bolster and about 1” of stitching is loose on the passenger seat bottom. The carpet is average but the floor mats and cargo area carpet are missing. The dash and door panels are in very good condition. The radio works but the CD player does not.
HVAC: The AC system will function but has a leak in the return line at the fill port. It seemed to hold pressure when I charged it, but the refrigerant leaked out of the valve once the filling tool was removed. Heat system works fine.
Engine: The engine is correct and original to the car: it has never needed a major repair. The spark plugs were replaced within the past 2 years. The engine starts rights immediately and runs nicely with good oil pressure. The water pump was replaced at one point in the vehicle’s life.
Transmission: The 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60) is original to the car and has never needed a major repair. It shifts well.
Exhaust: The left muffler is rusted, has a minor leak and will need to be replaced somewhat soon.
Wheels & Tires: Factory 17” wheels with 255/45R17 Cooper Zeon 2XS tires (1/2 worn) and 285/40R17 rear tires. The wheels show cosmetic corrosion under the clearcoat from salt exposure. The left rear tire is a worn-out Cooper Zeon 2XS and the right rear is a new Kumho Ecsta SPT.
The car was purchased from Les Sanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, MI in 1999 with about 20k miles. The current owner has used it as his year-round primary vehicle. It was garaged from 1999 until 2011. It has been maintained by Curt’s Service in Oak Park and Silly Fast Performance in Hazel Park. This car has received the following repairs within the past 2 years:
• New battery
• New alternator
• New spark plugs
• New hard brake lines (entire system)
• New brake rotors and pads (all 4 wheels)
• Oil change (less than 1000 miles ago)
The current owner has enjoyed his 15 years of driving this Corvette. It is ready for someone who can will enjoy it as it or perform the TLC to make it a very nice car again.
