I really couldn't tell you. Never paid any attention to it. Never took it on any long trips in it to be concerned with gas mileage

My LT1 Caprice gets 16 city and about 22 on the highway, with a 2.56 gear :lol: The Impala is probably similar, but it does have a bigger gear. Oh yeah, its 400lb lighter too.

Fwiw i went on a 250+ mile roadtrip this past weekend and got 26mpg in my 96 SS. Beautiful car there!
