1994 Grand Cherokee, *needs work*

It's a 94 Grand Cherokee, 140k miles.. purple color... grey interior... full time 4WD.. These things can go for 4k in good shape/functioning.. worst case scenario, it needs a motor and brakes... Moving out of state, it needs to go! Willing to flex on the price, bring a truck/trailer, cash, let's go look at it, and make a deal! Clear title..

The good:

body is in great shape, interior is as well, has aftermarket stereo...

The bad:

It had a rear main seal leak, I purchased a new truck, and this sat outside all year/winter... could be other issues... The brakes were starting to need work as well... Tires could use work too...

Really not sure on price... but I think $2,000 or best seems like a fair starting price...

It runs, just not safe to drive.... I mis-posted on the San Antonio craigslist for $1,500 and some guy e-mailed me within 5 minutes, offering me $2k, and talked to him on the phone for a while... he said just tow it with me to Texas... which I might do..

Honestly, I don't really give a fuck how much I get, just as long as I don't have to lift so much as a finger to get it out of my life...

I owe $340 and probably some late fees on the storage.... as long as I don't have to tow the bitch anywhere, or do anything..

I'm tempted to offer you $340.99?:icon_mrgr
Seriously, are the brakes the only reason it's unsafe to drive?
Why do say it needs a motor, but it runs? Just the main seal issue?
Shoot me a p.m.

Some people say the rear main seal is from blow by from bad oil rings... the motor had acceptable compression on all 6 holes... as far as new motor goes... it's cheaper to go buy a cheapy from the junkyard than it is having a rebuild done...

The brakes are shady, the tires are shady... It is a car that has sat for 2 years..

Rear main seals are a common problem on the 4.0L I6 regardless of proper or improper maintenance. It should be very easy to tell if that is the source of the oil problem.
It is also common for the vac system grommets to harden thereby forcing oil to be sucked in through the intake system.

Is this still avail?
