Up for sale is my red '92 coupe rolling chassis. Complete minus engine and trans. Was run as an "all motor" car, and has a best 60' of 1.27, and 1/4 of 9.26 @ 145mph with a stroked windsor and C4(at 2960 lbs w/driver, will go lighter). Car was a 2 year project to build, and has high attention to detail.
Chassis: mild steel 10 point cage, current NHRA 8.50 cert. Maximum motor sports full length subframe connectors welded in, with 2X2 tubing connecting subframes through the floor to rockers, cage mounted to 2X2's. Torque boxes are fully welded, and upper and lower boxes are tied to cage with tubing also. Window net, five point harnesses on both seats(one year left on driver's cert), seat backs anchored to cage.
Suspension:rear has Team Z relocated uppers, lowers, and anti-roll bar. Stock rear coils cut 1/2 coil, Strange 10 way adjustable shocks. Front is all QA1 tubular K member, a arms(shortened 3/4" to help tuck front tires), alluminum coil over struts and springs, caster/camber plates. Has 1996 spindles and sealed bearing hubs with long wheel studs. Flaming River manual rack and steering shaft, heim jointed outer tie rods. Bump steer kit, has been aligned with ZERO bumpsteer on the latest Hunter wireless alignment rack, and has 7.5 degrees caster to drive easily at speed. Aerospace discs front and rear with braided lines, alluminum master cylinder with manual conversion plate, Hurst line lock.
Rear axle:stock width 8.8 has been jig straightened, tubes TIG welded to center by Team Z. Housing is tubular braced on front. Moser 33 spline axles and spool, 5/8" wheel studs, c-clip eliminators. Studs on spool bearing caps, diff cover/girdle, moser 1350 yoke with solid pinion shims. 4:10 gear, many other ratios available. Comes with polished Comp Engineering spring loaded wheelie bars, but chassis has been tuned to work well without them.
Interior: Very nice black interior, carpeted rear seat area. Kirkey front seats. Autometer tach w/shift light, water temp, oil press gauges. Heater case removed, firewall holes are filled. MSD 7AL2 igntion mounted behind glove box, with 3 step RPM limiter and starter saver timing retard module. Radio delete panel. Console is fitted with a Turbo Action C4 reverse pattern shifter. Switches for line lock, trans brake, fuel pump, water pump, and cooling fan within easy reach in console.
Body: BEAUTIFUL Ford E4 red paint. Professionally done in PPG products, 3 coats base, 3 coats clear. Complete car wet sanded and wheeled and smooth! New aftermarket front and rear bumpers, front fenders. New Ford headlight panel with new clear 6 piece lens set. 5" bolt on cowl hood, painted and cleared on underside also. Fully painted front inner fenders and underhood. Rear wheel lips rolled, inner wheel housings clearanced. Door crash bars removed. Stock wiring harness with all power accessories operational(windows, locks, mirrors, turn signals, etc). Powermaster 16 volt battery, Flaming River disconnect switch in trunk. New door weatherstrips. Harwood smooth cowl panel cover.
Wheels:Weld Alumastars. Rear are 15X10 with 7" backspace, tucks 28X10.5S M/T tires nicely. Fronts are 1 piece Alumastars with 26" M/T front runners.
Fuel system:8 gallon alluminum cell. BG400 pump. -12 line from cell to pump, -10 line front to rear, "big" Holley 2 port regulator on right front inner fender.
Misc:"Be Cool" 2 row Alluminum radiator with Black Magic fan and overflow tank. Big front mounted trans cooler with -6 braided lines to trans.

More I'm probably forgetting, but you get the idea. This is a NICE car that works well and drives straight. At home at the track or a car show. New car is on the way, need to make room! Priced at $10K, sorry no trades.
