1992 fastest street car shootout

I did transmissions for several of those cars back then and for several years afterwards. I admit though, I rembemer my customers going low 8's. I was suprised to see how slow some of those cars were going. Was 1992 the first year?

Remember danny scotts car when he got it ,it was one of the rustiest camaros I had ever seen but it was sweet when it was done and had everything including the dome light and am radio working and ended up running 8.0s if I remember corectly!

And the gas cap was the battery cut off switch.
Rick Dyer's, Danny Scott's, Jim Treppa's, Bruce Kimmen's all had great looking and fast camaro's for their time.
