1991 z28 1-LE

nice and crazy how low of mileage... why people buy cars and dont drive them is beyond me

but no offense 3rd gens are cheap as hell even with resonable mileage... on a good day you might get 20k for it nad even that is steep

for some reason, I'm wanting a 3rd gen more and more...but not bad enough to pay 50+ grand.

Maybe it's the love of Hair Metal or something but I really wish I could buy a reasonably priced really good condition 3rd gen but lack of job hurts those chances.

hey
Easy on the mullet comments
I do not have a mullet and Love my Third Gen
I agree though that the prices of these are getting up there..
Mine is almost 20yrs old now...they are going to go up in value eventually.
I think those proces area bit much though

ok ok ok sorry about the mullet stuff i used to own an 88 but i dont like to admit to it. thats wayyyyyyy tooo much cash for one though.

I've owned a handful of 3rd gen's. I would have never guessed that they would go for that kind of coin. I've never had a 1LE though.

I think they were still rated at 245. Maybe 255? They had better suspension pieces, aluminum driveshaft, oil cooler and trans cooler? and other tidbits to lighten them up, like manual windows, radio delete option, etc.... I am probably wrong on some of these things. I has been over 10 years since I was in to 3rd gens.

you can't touch a 91-92 under 50k miles for less then 15k in great shape. sure there are a few but not many. you can get a lower mileage 4thgen ls1 ss for the same price. that's not cheap to me. the good condition cars are up there unfortunately. the convertibles are really out of range.

Looks like I shouldnt sell mine....I'll let it chill in the garage.

it will be years before anyone sees thirdgens get to that point as being regular and even then chances are slim. L98 91-92 z28's. high optioned iroc 350's, b4c and 1-le original cars will get 20-25k easily with that low of mileage on the block but still struggle for less then that in an autotrader.

out of the 100,000 thirdgens they made a year there was only 1/10th of those made that were the actual popluar versions which is why they are so expensive. even the damn rs models are going 5-6k for 80-90k mileage which is outrageous if you ask me.

ever owned a 1 of 500 type car? it's the early 90's version of the cobra r today but with much less horsepower. just a standard factory race originated option but they aren't any faster. it's one of those status things to own 1 of however many. the least gm could have done would be to add 25 50 extra horses to the car. regardless it's rare so people ask more.
