1991 Nissan 300ZX MAF De-screen or is it needed? There is a screen on both sides..the front side has a tear in the screen. Im sure it causing turbulence, new MAF or De-screen?
Descreen it. yes it does stop a small amount of turbulence but not enough to make it run bad. They are just there to stop any debris (that should be stopped by the filter anyway) from contacting the MAF element.
