i got into an accident in my mustang in the end of may. i want to find a 4 cyl to swap my 5.0 into, but not having much luck, nor looking forward to all the work. so i decided to list it for sale. the front left framerail took most of the mpact, and it gave out at the strut tower where there was rust. if someone was to fix this car i would recommend finding an etire firewall foreward, cutting it off the car, and putting it on this one, have it welded on, and aligned properly, which ive quoted having welded on, and aligned is about $600.
the rest of the car appears to be straight, the windshield had a crack before the accident, and it did not spread. this would swap very nice into a 4 cyl car. it ran very strong, and it has always been my dream car. i plan on swapping it into a 4 cyl car if i can find the right one, but i would also like to get it out of the garage. i would like to just stick to escorts for now...

1989 ford mustang 5.0 5 speed mustang
floors are pretty solid. behind both front tires, and maybe behind the seats in the corners. on the floor pans there is rust. not horrible. k member, and rear end are rusty
rust hole behind right front wheel on bottom rocker
373 gears got posi going straight real good, didn't like to around corners
140mph speedometer
new carpet, leather seats freshly reupholstered
interior in good condition, its all there
ashtray door works
power windows and locks
good headliner
new heater core about 700 mi ago
i installed the following 620 miles ago;
1. new plugs, and wires
2. new flywheel
3. new ford racing king cobra clutch+pressure plate+throwout bearing
has turn off for intake to have a cone filter inside fender, have filter.
comes with 10 hole wheels, or turbine wheels. your choice. tread is good on both
trunk lid has bubbling on lip. its noticeable.
windshield has crack, it was there when i bought the car
passenger door has keyhole shaved and needs attention

current condition.
wrecked. left frame rail bent up pretty bad. i have every damaged part i took off
fenders, hood, headlights and bumper/bumper cover are destroyed. and removed right fender only has a small dent in top, probably fixable
drivers door is bent where fender is, due to me prying the fender off.
i removed the h-pipe and catback, catback had to be cut behind mufflers, it can be put back together, i didn't destroy it.
drive shaft+ transmission are out of the car
engine is completely disconnected, and only held in by the 2 motor mount bolts.
power steering pump pulley got bent in wreck, i bought a used pump to replace it. mounting bracket was not damaged
radiator and ac radiator are smashed have not replaced.
fan, clutch, and shroud destroyed. i have a 5k mile fan, and used shroud
coolant overflow bottle, and washer fluid bottle broken, and not replaced
steering wheel bent from impact, and where my hand was on it.
brake line(s) were blown at the accident, upon impact they must have gave out. they worked up to the scene of the crash. emergency brake still works.
center console is still out from heater core install. i pulled the front seats out, there just sitting on the deck lid...

extra parts that go with car
good stock hood
2 doors that have surface rust on bottoms pretty bad, but sandblast and primer, and there good to go. no holes through them
i also have a box of random parts, along with manuals that go with it.
stock drive shaft
stock shifter

i did start the car and let it run for about 15 seconds after i pulled the front bumper, radiator, and fan, just so i knew it still ran okay before i started to disassemble everything

i do have the engine almost out, or i could prove it to you, but visually you can see that the heads/block were not damaged, nor anything else that would effect the ability of the engine to still run.

ive got close to 5 grand into this car, and insurance gave me 1k for it after deductible. i will not be parting out this car at this time. The mustang Pony wheels have been sold, i do not have them

Asking $2,500 o.b.o.

price is negotiable. i just put up somewhere to start, i can talk with you on the phone/ in person all the fine details, and im sure we can find a happy median
in the future i may consider parting out, but not just for 1 little thing, i would sell the entire interior as a whole, or the body, or the drive line. not just bits and pieces. or something like that... i cant have parts of this thing just laying around for years.... all or nothing.

i will consider a trade/partial trade +/- money on your end or mine for
a nice rust free escort/tracer 1991-1996
93+ ranger not rusted out
and old school VW Beetle in good running condition, not rusted apart
an ultralight airplane
larger toolbox
or any other type of unique car
not interested in trading for any atv, jet ski, sled, dirt bike, big screen tv,
(im a ford guy)

If it wasent for building the addition on the garage right now i would be on my waydown to pick this up right now.

fucking come get it. grab a quick loan... id like it gone, just because everytime i see it in the garage i wish i was gliding through the gears, and i get heartbroken to see it sit, when someone else could have this thing swapped, or fixed, and on the road in a few weeks...

Well if i didnt already have a garage/driveway full of cars i would lol... If you still have it in a few weeks ill see what we can do.

sweet... no serious bites yet, but im ready to bring home a drivable 5.0 but dont have room with this skattered across the garage...

posting deleted... probably because he had it priced too low, and someone bought it right away...

that may be true, in your eyes its a 1k car, im willing to negotiate... i need to get a certain dollar amount out of it or it will just sit untill i get the motivation to swap it... im not going to just give away my car.

the price is not firm, but you have to come and look at it, call me on the phone, and talk to me and have money if you want to deal on it... i dont mind keeping it at all... i just hate having it sitting....

your price is not too high, but that car is worth more then 1200 for sure. its got a clean interior and as long as the motor is ok, it should be worth around 1750-2k id say. any rust underneath?

like 3 small spots in the floorpans, the rearend, and k member have a lot of surface rust, but that can be sandblasted and painted easily...

pm me the bottom dollar. i've seen it before it was crashed. i know what's there. plus, i've got most of the parts to fix it......
