1987 Yamaha YSR 50
754 miles. Owned since 1996.
This is the 529[SUP]th[/SUP] YSR ever produced.

Unmodified and original except for two items (explained below). It’s in nice condition. It’s not perfect and it’s not brand new, but it is pretty nice. I’ll describe it as best as I can. Any perceived misrepresentation are unknown and unintentional.

The two items that are not original are a tinted windshield and an aftermarket exhaust pipe (Toomey Racing). To the extent I’m aware, this bike is stock and has never been apart, repaired, or had anything done to it with the exception of the windscreen and exhaust pipe. It still has the original, unused tool kit, and it also has the exceptionally rare “rear plate” on the tail piece (most had individual caps).

It’s a factory 2 stroke single cylinder 50cc street legal mini cycle. It's less than half the size of a full size Yamaha sport bike and can attain speeds of approximately 55 MPH. It has a clutch and 5 gears. YSR’s were produced from 1987 through 1992.

I’ve owned it since 1996, and it is exactly as I purchased it. We stored it in my basement furnace room with a dry gas tank since the second day I owned it. This YSR has 752 actual miles, and I have the Ohio title (Clear, no liens, and signed but not dated,) from when I bought it.

When we brought it out into the sunlight last week, I changed the oil, put fuel in it, and it started on the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] kick.

As time goes on, these are getting very difficult to find in original condition. This one has a few minor scratches and blemishes, no dents, no cracks, one scrape on a decal sticker, one scrape on a mirror, a tear in the right handgrip, the foot brake pedal looks slightly bent (probably the same incident that caused the scraped decal and mirror, and the tear in the handgrip), and a tiny spot on the tank that was touched up with white paint about half the diameter of an ink pen in size.

Please, if you’re looking for a perfect YSR, look elsewhere.

I saw a brand new decal sticker kit on the Internet in 2002 and bought it, but never installed it. The new sticker kit appears to have every decal (in the original tube box postmarked in 2002) and will go with the YSR.

Please be advised there will be NO TEST RIDES. We can start it, shift through the gears on the side stand, and inspect every part of it, but it will not leave my driveway until and unless you are purchasing it at that time.

It’s 25 years old.

As such, I'm selling it AS-IS, with NO WARRANTY and NO GUARANTEE.

If you buy it, the sale is final with no refund.

I have the title and the key, and that’s all that goes with it. No helmet, no extra parts, no trades, and I'm not interested in anything other than cash. Thank you.

Do you need a motorcycle license to ride this thing?
Not sure how I didn't see this when I posted it, but technically since it has a clutch and gears it is a motorcycle and requires a motorcycle endorsement. When I was young, we used to do a bill of sale and put 50cc moped and register them as mopeds...This one sold... Funny the new owner now has it on eBay and its at 2700 with 3 days left...
