Well maybe not soon, but by next year. Here she is! Looks rough, but this car is super clean. Its from Vegas. I purchased it from Todd. He has had it for a few years and the first day he got the car I tinkered with the idea of getting it from him. I just want a fun cruiser for me and the kids and a weekend racer. So here are the plans:

It will be painted regatta blue with light grey(86) interior, chrome ponies and a black top.

Engine will be a carbed 6.0 ls2 head/cam with nitrous and with a th400 behind it. Full exhaust of course.

No race suspension, mostly street stuff. It will have full frame ties and a 6 point roll bar. The car will see the track for fun, but not to set any records.

Here are the pics, I started taking it apart to clean the wiring up and get ready for the color change.

This is the only rust, and its just surface rust from where the battery was at.

Ya, car spent its whole life in vegas. Bolts are falling of this thing so far, lol. Guess Ill hang the "rust breaker oil" up for this build!

This build is going to be a slow one, wife and 3 kids plus work will only limit my wrenching to maybe 1 or 2 nights a week.

Yeah I have a wife and 2 kids and 2 dogs plus am layed off at the moment... So the Capri is coming along a little slow...

Ya, it will probably be painted before the end of the summer and sitting as a roller as I piece together the engine. I got the 6.0 with the car so thats whats going in it.

That is my goal... by the end of summer I am hoping to get my cage put in and have the Car painted, and hopefuly an interior in it...

damn, very clean. i'd consider sbf though......either way, g/l....

If I did that it would just be a mild 302 and it would be the same damn thing I have built 4 times over. I got the 6.0 with the car and the LS engines are impressive IMO. This thing should make 450-500hp with ease on motor.

Also, it will have a dual snorkle air cleaner, dist in the front and maybe even ford racing valve covers so most people wont even notice at first glance, lol

i'm not against the hybrid at all. no matter how it's done, it's a damn good start!.....

It might be but it all comes down to money... something I dont have much of these days.

With a carb, I just need the front mount dist kit, 6al box, intake and a 750.
Carb, intake, dizzy, etc will cost you some decent $. You could just throw the stock harness in it and keep it efi if you don't plan any mods that would require a tune.
